Certification marks are important because there are many types of products on the market today. One important factor in choosing a product is the certification mark. Consumers will have confidence in choosing that product, and the brand itself can build credibility from the certification mark. In order for a product to receive a certification mark, the manufacturer must produce the product through various criteria to obtain a product that meets international standards. Thailand has established the Industrial Product Standards Office, a national standards institute established under the Industrial Product Standards Act B.E. 2511, with the duty of operating to ensure that products are of quality according to standards.
